Medications confusion - the discharge prescription not the same name as Patient disharge medication profile.... I was losing my mind.... looking for Lasix... went back to the drug store with my painful heart to clarify the drugs... lasix = furosemide.... but I didn't find it , so I skipped one pill in the first night.... Suggestion... St. Paul should provide the first week medications for patient going home... it's too much to learn.... and no time to go to get the medicines!!!Today is the 7 days ; I realized I have took the furosemide dose as per the hospital profile... so I took way to much... now I am missing one week dose???
Furosemide should be only once a day... but I took twice a day for a week, that's how I know I made a mistake.... thank God He still on my side to protect me....!!!!
Can you imagine that guy went home by himself.... !!!
Anyway, thank God again and again.... I am tired now.... took me a whole day to post all my 7 days in the hospital... hopefully... it's worth to do it and help someone who is going to change her/his heart valves!!! God bless you all.... always & forever.... Amen.
